Meet Kim

Kim holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, NB, and a Bachelor's in Social Work with an Indigenous Specialization from the University of Victoria, BC.  She is registered as a Canadian Certified Counsellor and certified as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP™).

Nâtowihowin is a Cree word which roughly translates to 'someone who holds space for others to heal...or to find a medicine of healing space.'  My late grandfather spoke Cree as his first language, it is in his honour that I chose this name to best describe what I strive to create in my counselling & psychotherapy practice.

The logo was created by @giantsilkmoth to represent the process of transformation, growth, and new life that is possible in one's journey of healing.

“It is the ability to make meaning of our difficulties, pain, suffering, and trauma, which allows us to transform it into healing.”
